People age
differently. Some are completely
independent. Some seniors need
assistance paying bills, understanding their Medicare insurance, or
accompaniment to a doctor appointment.
And some seniors become dependent upon family for driving, shopping,
household chores, meals, hygiene, and socialization. All in all, this can be an emotional time for all involved.
Senior Needs Assessments
provide documented information, to assist the senior person in need, to
understand the what and why type
of assistance needed, while removing the negative emotional reactions often
displayed by family members: doubt, guilt, uncertainty, which ultimately delay
the emergent assistance needed for the senior person.
If you are participating in a rehabilitation program at a Nursing Care Center, then the social worker assigned to your case could provide you with an assessment of your needs. If you haven't experienced such a stay, you can ask your primary care physician or home health care agency to assess your needs. I, too, provide written Senior
Needs Assessments. Medicare does not pay for my services. My mission is to offer the senior population choices regarding their
living environment based upon a Senior Needs Assessment of their medical condition,
cognitive abilities, and community resources. And, most importantly, connecting those seniors with companies and organizations that can meet their needs. Email me if you would like my assistance.
